Installation of eight Liberty® turbines is well advanced at the UPC Steel Winds project site in New York State. The project has been fully energized to the grid, rotors have been installed on three wind turbines and commissioning activities are underway. We can announce today the first rotor is spinning.
With construction in advanced stages, turbine installation is now proceeding at the Endeavor Project in Iowa. In addition to the powertrain assemblies delivered from the Cedar Rapids plant, a substantial number of other components are staging on site, including 22 blade sets.
A total of ten Liberty wind turbines were completed in the first two months of 2007. Series production through February totaled 18 model 2.5 MW Liberty wind turbines, including the eight produced in 2006.
The Company continues to expect production in the first half of 2007 to be lumpy and rising, with a target production of 250 in 2007.
